TRANSCENDANCE

This quote reveals the strong relationship between architecture and the human condition. This condition has always been the main criteria for the elaboration of human architectures. Before reaching a higher condition, human aims at partially understanding his current one and its environment. Studies and experiments are the starting point of every evolution. Because human needs to lay on something in this process of creation, the study of  surrounding mechanisms has always been the most direct mean to grasp and project new systems.

But as human soul, architecture takes its full achievement in spirituality. It means that human discovers the essence of his/her being or the «deepest values and meanings by which people live» 1 trough spirituality, and projects it into architecture. 

Spirituality is a vector of mutation, pushing human to analyse, understand and experiment his condition. This precarious and narcissic  process pushed mankind to assert the sacredness of his nature. In other words, human has considered his own architecture as an image of God,  studied it and projected it out of his body.
